What is Ray of Hope Nashville?

Hello and welcome to the virtual community of Ray of Hope Community Church of Nashville Tennessee! You have come to a place where Hope Happens Here! Where lives are transformed by the teaching and preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. You are now at a place where prayer, whether through meditation, petitions, supplications or simple sacramental expressions, shape the fibre and fabric of our church family. 

You are not at a traditional church. Not in the sense that we follow any denominational guidelines for the practice of our work, worship, witness and declaration of the Word of God. We are an interdenominational church community, meaning that we draw from the best of what every Christian denomination offers us that is beneficial for the advancement of our vision and mission. Though we exist outside the walls of a traditional brick and mortar building, we seek to be “Local in our Impact and Global in our Scope.” To this end we invest our time, talent and treasure in Kingdom building everywhere!

You have scrolled upon a church that is valued by its members, friends and supporters for its cultural and spiritual uniqueness. We are a “Radically Inclusive” church which embraces and encourages participation of all members on every level of leadership, regardless of their sex, gender, sexual orientation, educational level, socio economic or socio political standing. We are “Unapologetically Black and Unashamedly Christian.” We are aware that Jesus Christ was a Black Militant Jew whose political strategies in fighting for the liberation of his people, got him crucified on a socially traumatizing Roman Cross. We exist to be a “Teaching Church.” We resist the temptation to assimilate into an entertainment center. Instead, we search the scriptures for strategies that can help us live our best lives. We are these things and so much more. Seeking every day with the help of God for our lives to turn out “Better than Expected!”
